Welcome to Arizona Eyelash Academy, centrally located in Tucson, Arizona. Our Academy specializes in licensing students in the art and craft of lash extensions. Accredited by the Arizona Board of Cosmetology, our academy offers education and specialized training under the instruction of Calypso Upham a licensed Aesthetician, Lash Artist and Educator.

Meet The Educator
My name is Calypso Upham, the owner and primary educator at Arizona Eyelash Academy. I was born and raised in the desert city of Tucson, Arizona. Despite having over 6 years of experience in the beauty industry, My journey began in retail management, where I honed my skills in customer service and business operations in order to transition skillsets to fulfill my dream of being an entrepreneur. My true passion was ignited when I 1st experienced lash extensions for myself, 11 years ago. The moment I got my first classic set, I was captivated—not only by the transformation in my own appearance but also by the newfound ease in my morning routine and a significant boost in my overall confidence through lashes. Fast forward to now being a volume lash girlie and and being eager to introduce others to the benefits of having lash extensions.
I quickly recognized my fascination with lash artistry, and in 2018, I decided to take a leap of faith and invest in a course, but more importantly, myself. I was eager to learn and determined to master the craft however, my initial year in the industry was challenging; I felt like I was speaking a foreign language, struggling to create sets I loved in a timely manner while navigating the complexities of finding the right supplies, I knew there had to be a better way. Through relentless dedication, education, and countless trials, I was able to discover techniques and methods that streamlined my process and elevated my artistry.
After achieving significant success, graduating Aesthetician school, I also became a licensed lash artist and an accredited educator with the state of Arizona. Inspired by my own challenges and the desire to ease the learning curve for others, I opened Arizona Eyelash Academy. My mission is to provide aspiring lash artists with the education and support I wished I had early on, ensuring my students can turn their passion for lashes into a fulfilling career as I did myself.
In addition to my academy, I operate my own salon, Muse Salon De Beaute. This is where I envision creating a thriving team and work field for my students. I aim to offer a space where they can connect, share their journeys, and support one another, emphasizing the importance of collaboration in the industry and creating unforgettable client experiences. Arizona Lash Academy fosters a positive environment where Lash artists and students can grow, be celebrated new relationships can flourish.
With my commitment to elite education and community-building, I am thrilled to see the Tucson lash community grow and thrive, reminding everyone that, truly, "What’s life without lashes?".

The Arizona Board of Cosmetology requires 30 hours of education in order to be eligible for licensing. This course will be broken up between 4 days, about 7.5 hours each day.

We all know life happens and sometimes things come up and you have no control over them. If you have to miss a day, you will be required to make up that day in the next group. You have to complete all 4 days before you recieve a certificate of completion.

Beginning in May 2024, Arizona’s regulations regarding performing lash extentions changed. You now have to be a registered lash artist that has completed a board approved training program. Once you complete this training program you will be given a certificate of completion that you will use to apply for your license.

Half moon LED lash light ($200 value)
Lash Manuel (physical book)
Mannequin head with practice lashes
Lash practice book for mapping/ styling (with eye sponges)
Hygrometer (to monitor temperature and humidity)
4 pairs of tweezers (both isolation and pickup)
2 second drying lash glue
Lash sensitive cream remover
10 lash trays (classic and volume lashes)
Handheld mirror for bottom view of lashes
Both gel and foam eye pads for bottom lashes

To secure a seat you must pay a $300 deposit which is applied to the tuition total. For 2024, new student tuition is only $1,800 ($700 off) Therefore $1,500 will be owed prior to your class in order to start.

Yes! We work with both your bank for auto withdraws & 3rd party companies including Afterpay, Klarna and affirm. To see your loan options do the following:

2) Type in your info and select the payment option of your choice to see what options you have. They have both no interest and interest options depending on your loan timeframe. You must get approved through that company to proceed.
